The foundations of the Laura Bessone project lie in the motivation that led the designer to embark on her path: combating excess in favor of a more informed choice, quality oriented in terms of product care, design development and use of high quality materials.
The overabundance of goods of poor stylistic and manufacturing quality, convinces her, in fact, that the time to offer an alternative and concrete choice has come, by inspiring people to change their consumption habits, rather than induce them to choose through manipulation.
The tendency to conform is the real evil to be countered. The accumulation of shoddy products is the demon to be defeated.
The designer undress objects from frills to let their true essence express itself. There is no need to beautify something that is already beautiful. If the product is full of essence and character, it doesn’t need any stratagems to be chosen: it will be as rich inherently. Laura Bessone therefore begins the path of purity. Clean lines, essential and versatile, timeless products flow from her work. Her awareness and the distance she wants between herself and the massification, lead her to face every new venture with an approach that is as innovative as possible. Use and choose carefully the materials with which to produce and research chameleon shapes that can make each piece unique, even for the simple personal way in which everyone chooses to wear it.
Becoming from the world of architecture, the designer, deals with stylistic projects as interior design projects. Interior design projects have to respond to the needs of the client in terms of taste, functionality and comfort, as well as stylistic projects, so the designer identifies herself in a potential client declaring specific needs that must be satisfied and she do that by researching the essence of the beauty of the product. First-time user, she soon realizes that she needs to have her objects tested, as in a test, to those who define her personal testimonials. This is an important phase of her work, which enriches her with new stimuli and allows her to broaden her personal vision. In this way objects with a clear but simultaneously versatile character are born; objects sometimes almost unrecognizable as bags, because they are often wearable as clothes.
