Samsung EGO opened the 69th edition of MBFW Madrid in Hall 14.1 of IFEMA Feria de Madrid, with the amazing offers of ideas from nine young designers, project that merges fashion and technology in some of its creative phases. The fashion show put on by Zuzana Kubickova, the international designer hailing from Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week closed this year’s Samsung EGO schedule as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent prize. Her collection presented designs that are not only beautiful and stimulating, but also full of curiosity featuring glass elements inserted into a palette of subtle colours. Three designers presented a collection for the first time – 404 Studio, Melania Freire ( WINNER OF MERCEDES BENZ FASHION TALENT, January 2019 ) and Reveligion, and other four designers returned – Anel Yaos, Cherry Massia, Mikel Colas and Madridmanso. 404 STUDIO
404 studio is a laboratory of creation whose approach towards fashion is based on uniqueness. Seeking to create something contemporary from tradition, the brand is focused on the design and production of handmade, exclusive and limited edition pieces of clothing. By using traditional materials and techniques such as crochet, the brand’s essence is based on exploring and reinventing new ways of doing knitwear. Aiming to redifine the established rules. Further, 404 aims to merge fashion with different artistic expressions; being closely linked to cinema, the inspiration behind every collection, and art.
MELANIA FREIRE

Inspired by the retrospective of artist David Hockney at TATE, Melania Freire won this year’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Talent. With a perfect balance between art, concept, fashion and the most exquisite tailoring, the Galician has achieved that her collection is the most commented of the MBFW Madrid. Thanks to this award, Freire (@melaniafreire), will present her collection in a runway outside Spain – Prague -. Without a doubt, a good opportunity to make yourself known beyond our borders and above all to expand the networking. We talked with her about her collection, past and future.
REVELIGION
Maria Rodriguez Blanco, Founder and Designer of REVELIGION, lives in Seville, Spain. She worked as a stylist, as well as graphic design, public relations and visual merchandising. At 23 years old she met Tom and got her first collection (Rainbow) and in 2017 she had her daughter Gala. Her collections are mostly inspired by her feelings and how to keep the balance between being a mother and fashion designer.

ANEL YAOS
Anel Yaos desires to transmit the surreal nature of the world when looked at from a different point of view, one which few have experienced before. He seeks to elevate the enigmatic and sexless personification of a thought to another level, its state of perfection raising it above all others. This imaginary being can, at once, relieve anguish through its own unique form of expression and represent feelings as they flow and in each moment. The singular nature of this creation defies categorization. During the creative and studio process, Anel Yaos always has an eye on the amazing 70s and 80s, on ambiguity, evolution, shapes and, most importantly, attracting attention. In 2005, Anel Yaos finished his studies in the School of Art in Seville; in 2007 studies in Window Dressing at the School of Art in Seville; in 2009 Fashion Design and Management at the CEADE-Leonardo School in Seville; in 2014 Fashion & Communication (innovation, creativity and new professional challenges) at the Pablo de Olavide School in Seville; and in 2014 a Master’s in Styling, Artistic Direction and Publicity at the Superior School of Design and Fashion Felicidad Duce in Barcelona.
Anel Yaos has worked as an Artistic and Creative Director for various communications and fashion platforms and has appeared numerous times in publications in the fashion sector both nationally and internationally.
MADRIDMANSO
MadridManso is afashion brand founded in 2017 by the Zamora born and raised designer Raúl Madrid Manso. After graduating from the Superior Center of Fashion Design of Madrid, he started giving life to MadridManso with his final year collection: “Yaya”. This collection pays homage to his maternal grandmother and to the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. This collection is a true round of applause for their tirelessly job as grandparents, and the memory of a happy childhood, where affection and tenderness stand out.

This firm is presented as the link between two generations coexisting with the same naive aesthetic, where care, tenderness, delicacy and fun are determining factors. And so MadridManso acts as a bridge between what we were as little kids and what we want to be in the future, so we can build our present.
MIKEL COLAS
Mikel Colas, born in Pamplona 1986, he moves to Barcelona in 2006 in order to study fashion design in the fashion school Escuela Superior de Diseño y Moda Felicidad Duce. He combines his studies with his job as Manuel Bolaño’s assistant. In June 2010 wins the first prize of his degree to the best fashion collection of Escuela Superior Diseño y Moda Felicidad Duce. He was chosen by Modafad to participate in the 30º Modafad contest, “Football Fashion Fever” show, where he receives the honorable mention to creativity from the jury and participated in Creamoda, being one of the finalists. As well he was chosen by Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week Showroom and Kultur Moda in order to participate in their showroom and fashion show.

Cherry Massi surprised on the runway with the collection ”THE FALL” . Focused on the female figure, she develops the concept of vital responsibilities and how to cope with the tragedy and overcome the darkest moments. Inspired by the decade of the 80s, the world of yuppies, the power to dress and the heroines of anime.
Zuzana Kubíčková
Zuzana Kubickova is an international designer from Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week and closed the #SamsungEGO19 calendar of this season, within the framework of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award. Her collection shows beautiful, stimulating ad curious pieces in which glass has been inserted over a subtle palette of colours.
