During the pandemic, all of us were forced to detach ourselves from reality. We were forced to see our loved ones through a screen. Now Simon Cracker pretends to get back the beautiful, real things, the hugs and kisses of the aunts that stain your cheeks with lipstick.This parade took place in the fields of his grandparents, in the place where he built forts with old tents and sheets and the scenery of his adventures in Graziella.



The well that could not be approached, the escapes from the wasps so as not to get stung and the tears on the peeled knees, the vegetable garden that his grandfather built, which once brought to the table fruit and vegetables collected a few moments before … striking, for some, but for Simon Cracker it is an embroidery of memories that all together help me to face the future, even when it is scary.

”As a public my family: who has always really supported me, who has never made me feel uncomfortable, different or out of place. Who is really listening to me even if they belong to another generation. Who, even when it is difficult to understand the boss who is observing, wants to understand something more. I’ve never expected anyone to understand what I wanted to scream during my presentation. I am always curious to see what feelings my collections cause in others and I suffer when people don’t ask questions, refuse to listen to what someone confesses, tells or expresses in their own way. I am curious, in most cases, when I do not like something at first sight.
This is how my mind is activated and tries to understand. I am disinterested when things are artificially exciting, with a studied target, a selected audience … the game becomes too easy and not at all stimulating.”
