Omer Kaplan x Ezekiel Isaiah
Must Be Nice explores portraiture through fashion with surreal elements, while taking a more documentary approach. Our collaboration began at my apartment where we looked at Ezekiel’s relationship with his ancestral roots through his grandfather’s clothing. We spent our next day in Rockaway Beach exploring various parts of Ezekiel’s neighborhood. As an immigrant who treasures everyday objects like clothes from my home country in Israel, I wanted the viewer to connect with their own ideas of belongings.
