”In this photographic research, I chose to focus on the daily lives of the Chinese students at the academy. Through my images, printed and later digitized as scanned images, I sought to represent the individuality of each person to explore and capture the uniqueness of the Chinese culture. My intention is to challenge preconceptions and promote the appreciation of cultural diversity through the beauty and authenticity of the subjects photographed. The use of an exaggerated and theatrical approach highlights the importance and complexity of the students’ lives, making them the protagonists of a work that celebrates and valorizes them.”
