We get what we want, but sometimes, it is not what we imagined it would be. It is like a Bedouin in the desert who, after miles, thinks he has reached his longed-for oasis, but in reality that water is a mud puddle.
The desolation of that moment is one of the sensations that most makes us reflect and come to terms with ourselves. It’s right there that we must test ourselves again and not let us be swallowed up by that dirty water that is not for us.
