FEERIC FASHION WEEK 2025: DAY 2

Feeric Fashion Week Day 2: A Spectacle of Creativity and Innovation

The second day of Feeric Fashion Week showcased a remarkable diversity of concepts and artistic expressions in uniquely historic locations around Sibiu. The day began under the storied arches of the Evangelical Church courtyard in Cisnădie, setting the stage for breathtaking presentations that transcended traditional fashion narratives.

Kicking things off, a collective exhibit from the Technical University of Moldova offered a profound artistic vision, inspired by themes of femininity, solitude, celestial archetypes, and a fresh reinterpretation of the poem “Luceafărul.” The collection was a testament to decorative refinement and creative fabric combinations, drawing the audience into a reflective space filled with emotion and insight.

Following this evocative display was Blanka Gotić  with “Obedience in Fragments,” a collection that presented a poetic reflection on the symbolism inherent within the Mormon religious community. Utilizing materials such as poplin, sheer textiles, and natural twine, Gotić explored the intersections of faith, identity, and femininity. The ethereal draping and intricate detailing not only emphasized the fragility of belief but also challenged conventional notions of empowerment through fashion. With every model that graced the runway, Gotić unfolded a narrative that resonated deeply, inviting us to consider how our identities are constantly shaped by the frameworks of faith and community.

At Feeric Venue, the runway transformed into a dynamic platform for messages centered on transformation, sustainability, and diversity. Galala University introduced “Transformation,” where emotions, paintings, and folklore converged into wearable art, employing innovative techniques on cotton, linen, and velvet. This collection beautifully illustrated how stories can be translated into fashion, making every piece a narrative journey.

In partnership with Arizona State University, the University Donja Gorica presented “Unknown Nature,” which captivated the audience with its avant-garde pieces crafted from recycled denim. These creations evoked unexpected, abstract shapes that played whimsically with the notion of nature as both a source of inspiration and transformation. The dialogue between humanity and the environment emerged poignantly, urging us to explore our relationships with the material world.

The National Academy of Art – Sofia in Sofia’s collection, “Symbiosis,” further enriched the narrative thread of the day, merging the realms of art and science through innovative zero-waste designs inspired by biodiversity. Utilizing unexpected materials, each piece conveyed a powerful message about ecological responsibility while embracing artistic expression, reflecting the urgent need for environmental consciousness in today’s fashion landscape.

Ioulia Louvari‘s collection, “Heterogeneity,” stood as a bold manifesto for inclusion and individuality. Displaying a harmonious blend of textures and colors, Louvari challenged the fashion status quo, inviting attendees to embrace the beauty of diversity in all its forms. This celebration of uniqueness was a refreshing reminder of fashion’s capacity to uplift and empower those who wear it.

The University of Oradea’s “Error” delved into post-human silhouettes, exploring expansive volumes and industrial materials, while Notre Dame University – Louaize concluded with a powerful statement on resilience through “Prism Thinking.” This collection featured sculpted corsets and contrasting materials, merging strength with elegance.

Around the picturesque pool of Baia Populară, Viktor Spasov introduced VERÈDIA‘s “NOCTERA,” presenting a redefined concept of “power dressing” that harmoniously blended authority with delicacy. Using rich black velvet, flowing organza, and exquisite details, Spasov challenged conventional notions of power in fashion.

Alina Lazariu‘s brand Dualitae showcased “The Quiet Icon,” emphasizing the timeless symbolism of the white shirt. This collection demonstrated that simplicity can wield immense stylistic power—the antithesis of excess in a world craving authenticity. The Baia Populară, inaugurated in 1904 and restored to its former glory, added an enchanting backdrop that echoed the blending of history with contemporary elegance.

The evening culminated on the terrace of Promenada Sibiu, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. The collection “SYNERGIA 2025” presented by Promenada Sibiu x Raluca Elena Cînean, aptly titled “Summer is Calling,” encapsulated summer’s essence with light fabrics, pastel tones, and details inspired by the sea. Effortlessly merging comfort and elegance, these designs marked a new beginning for the brand, celebrating simplicity, identity, and freedom.

Feeric Fashion Week continues to stand as a beacon where fashion operates as a universal language of creativity and innovation. It presents a captivating journey through art, history, and contemporary visions, which spark conversations and inspire change. With individual presentations set to unfold the last day at Boromir Factory and the Municipal Stadium of Sibiu, all eyes were on Huet Square for the highly anticipated Gala of Feeric Fashion Week.

Feeric Fashion Week 2025 is co-financed by the City Hall of Sibiu and the Sibiu County Council, with significant support from primary partners NEPI Rockcastle and Promenada Sibiu. International collaborators included the French Institute, the French Embassy, Euronews, IED Milan, Ford, CineGold and Boromir.
