OFFSIDE

“OFFSIDE” was born from the desire of Leila Savadogo, together with Claudia Sodano and Mara Manna, to express their essence through personal style and the bond that developed between them. Each of them shared her story, what she is through what she wears. Three completely different people, but with a way of presenting themselves—and therefore a style—that is very similar. Y2K influences prevail, despite each of their different backgrounds.

Adding to this is the passion of photographer Francesco Ferone for sports T-shirts, a passion born during childhood. Even today, he nurtures this passion, and whenever he has free time, he takes photos of T-shirts, especially on girls, thus transforming the original meaning of the sports shirt and giving it a new one. Alessandra Aiello, stylist, strives to understand what lies within each girl, paying attention to details and decoding their es- sence. Her work reminds her of why she approached fashion studies after middle school and what she does spontaneously every day through observation, sense, and expression.

Antonio Cataldo, assistant stylist, wants to challenge himself with his creativity and style, which reflects that of the girls. Roberta Di Pietro, makeup artist, manages to highlight the Y2K aesthetic through textured and extravagant details combined with precision and meticulousness.

“OFFSIDE” also tells its story through the location of the “A’Mbasciata”: a large house that speaks of personal intimacy, with balconies and doors symbolizing openness and communication. The elevator is the passage between the intimate environment of the house and the chaotic street outside, which for the girls turns into a real runway every day. “OFFSIDE” is therefore a project outside the box, talking about collectivity without losing the essence of the individual.
