FEERIC HUB’S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IN SOFIA

Feeric Hub Showcases Educational Program Results in Sofia, Bulgaria

The creative and socially responsible ethos of Feeric Hub has successfully reached new audiences in Sofia, Bulgaria, through its innovative initiative, Feeric On Tour. This project not only bolsters the mission of advancing fashion education and sustainable local industry development but also shines a spotlight on the emerging young talents poised to redefine the future of fashion.

A Leading Platform for Fashion Education

Feeric Hub has quickly emerged as a pivotal platform for fashion education and promotion across Europe. It strives to provide exposure for budding designers while creating substantial opportunities for students and young professionals. Its efforts are directed toward cultivating a more sustainable fashion industry, emphasizing the importance of local craftsmanship and responsible practices.

The significant presence of Feeric Hub in the Bulgarian capital was made possible through the unwavering support of NEPI Rockcastle, the project’s main partner. This collaboration has played a vital role in reinvigorating the local fashion scene by advocating for a new generation of designers, giving them the visibility and recognition they deserve.

Connecting Talent and Audience

The choice of venues was strategic, with Paradise Center and Serdika Center—both part of NEPI Rockcastle’s expansive portfolio—serving as ideal backdrops for connecting students, future designers, and their potential audiences. These spaces facilitated a vibrant environment where creativity could flourish, making it possible to showcase the tangible results of the designers’ educational journeys.

On the first evening of Feeric On Tour, attendees gathered at Paradise Center to witness a collective collection showcasing recent alumni who have embarked on the path to becoming established designers. Among the notable contributors were Viktor Spasov, representing Atelier Veredia from Bulgaria, as well as Daiana Stăncioiu and Alina Lazariu from Romania. Their creations not only captivated the audience but also illustrated their professional growth and artistic evolution, reflecting the nurturing environment provided by Feeric Hub.

Collective Collections Captivate Audiences

The festivities continued the following day at Serdika Center, where two collaborative collections produced by students drew enthusiastic applause from attendees. Many expressed interest in acquiring pieces showcased, indicating a burgeoning local market eager to embrace fresh design talent.

The first collection, titled “Timeless Threads,” presented by international students, made a bold statement, emphasizing that recycling alone is insufficient for sustainable fashion practices. This collection marked the fifth initiative launched under the Hooldra brand—an innovative label dedicated to highlighting student creations from Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, North Macedonia, and Greece.

The second collection was particularly noteworthy, featuring the finest works from Bulgarian students across three partner universities: New Bulgarian University, National Academy of Art Sofia, and the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” in Plovdiv. Following the successful presentation of Bulgarian designs at Feeric Fashion Week in Sibiu earlier this year, the showcase in Sofia’s Serdika Center took on even greater significance. With the support of Serdika Center, these pieces were introduced to a dynamic local audience, creating a potential first market for the designers.

A Commitment to Responsible Fashion

Mitichi Preda, President of Feeric Hub, expressed the organization’s commitment, stating, “Through Feeric Hub, together with our partner NEPI Rockcastle, we aim to encourage public reflection on local fashion consumption and inspire designers to adopt responsible practices in creation, production, and sales, using local resources. Only through this approach can we build a stronger circular economy and foster a healthier future for the fashion industry.”

The event, skillfully hosted by Cosmina Păsărin, also included an engaging presentation of the Feeric Hub program alongside stimulating discussions and interactive beauty and self-care sessions. The model casting was expertly managed by Visage Models, while the makeup looks were created by D-Visio Academy, under the direction of Diana Konova, and Nikoleta Serafimova oversaw hairstyling.

Building a Creative Community

The expanding community around Feeric Hub represents a natural outcome of ongoing educational and creative initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to local fashion scenes. By fostering emerging talent, Feeric Hub provides the public with a distinct fashion experience—one that is open, accessible, participatory, and brimming with creativity. This not only enhances market education but also helps cultivate a better-informed audience regarding the evolution and importance of developing local fashion.

Feeric On Tour is supported by NEPI Rockcastle, Mitichi Foundation, and Feeric Hub, with local partners including Paradise Center, Serdika Center, Visage Models, and D-Visio Academy.

Feeric Hub‘s recent showcase in Sofia not only exemplifies the potential of young designers but also emphasizes the pressing need for sustainable practices within the industry. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between educators, local businesses, and aspiring talents, proving that fashion can indeed be a tool for positive change in society.
