A 2022 study by P. Smith across the vintage market, indicated that by 2026 the market’s value will double reaching a staggering 218 billion USD, which signifies the seismic shift of consumer behaviour towards a more conscious practice, aiming considerations before purchase.
As fashion has been generally slow to catch up and advocate for a fully sustainable chain of production, many brands + designers have become one with sustainability standards, leading the pack and employing policies and programmes that aid and support the creation of a long-term structure in place that brings circularity into collections.

Cooperativa sociale Insieme intends to pursue the general interest of the community
through human promotion and the social integration of citizens.
Cooperativa sociale Insieme (ex L.381/91) and is a non-profit organization of social utility (Onlus) which involves over one hundred workers, more than thirty people in apprenticeships, about twenty placements for public utility jobs and more of thirty volunteers involved in a single project: giving a second chance to people and things that apparently don’t have one.
Was founded in 1979 on the initiative of a group of citizens who came together to discuss and discuss the quality of life with particular attention to the workplace and the reality of marginalization and youth discomfort.
Passion generates great and beautiful things, regardless of their starting point.

For more than thirty-five years we have been intertwining our social and environmental proposals with cities and towns in the Vicenza area. From the first experiences of proximity to difficult worlds of marginalization and youth and adult discomfort we immediately learned that the territory was not simply the place to “make initiatives” and “make oneself visible” and not even where one could and should be only attentive, responsible actors and proactive, but a real terrain in which to “implant”, maintaining vital and continuous exchanges, in a logic of reciprocity that goes beyond any immediate profit, calculation or functionality.

Our initiatives are aimed at raising public awareness on issues related to the world of eco-sustainability and critical consumption, on the choice of using renewable energy and recycled materials.
You can’t imagine how much there is to recover in everything we usually discard due to lack of space or alternatives. Our work and our commitment aim to demonstrate that all goods can be valued and re-evaluated, thus returning to being useful, or even artistic.

“Self-management through Reuse and Recycle activities”
Our main job is to restore value to the things we collect, which we withdraw or which citizens bring to our offices; they can be resold, restored, or recycled as secondary raw materials, making it possible to reduce waste and municipal waste. Furniture, appliances, objects, clothes, books, toys, instruments and musical and sports equipment come back to life, often better than you knew them.
How we work?
Safety in the workplace: the health and safety of workers and customers who access the places managed by Insieme have always been elements to which the cooperative has given considerable importance. New investments are made every year, both in plant engineering and in organization, in order not only to comply with the regulations but also to improve the quality of the working environment.
The Prevention and Protection Service: there is a Prevention and Protection Service which includes, in addition to the Employer (legal representative), also the external RSPP, the internal ASPP, the Occupational Doctor and the firefighters and first aid. Furthermore, the Environmental Safety Office is responsible for coordinating the protection of health and safety also through the application of an internal Occupational Safety Management System. This tool allows the various activities of the cooperative to manage the safety and health of their workers and workplaces, applying working procedures, operating instructions, monitoring and training procedures. These documents are enclosed in a “Safety Folder” present in each activity and used by the activity referents for the management of safety in the activity itself.
The constant training: every year there are more than 1,000 hours that Cooperativa Insieme invests in the training of workers and volunteers on the subject of safety in the workplace.

Allora perché l’upcycling è importante?
L’upcycling riduce i rifiuti tessili, conserva materie prime o nuove come il cotone biologico. Riduce anche la quantità di acqua ed energia necessarie per produrre nuovi vestiti e, alla fine, risparmia risorse preziose, riducendo le emissioni di gas serra. Pensa solo a tutto l’inquinamento atmosferico e idrico che non si verifica perché stai riciclando i tuoi vestiti.
Sapevi che ci vogliono circa 700 litri d’acqua per fare un solo paio di jeans? Stai risparmiando tutta quell’acqua quando ricicli l’abbigliamento.
Moda sostenibile. Oltre ad essere più sostenibile, l’upcycling è anche più economico rispetto all’acquisto di nuovi vestiti. Se hai un budget limitato ma vuoi comunque mantenere il tuo guardaroba fresco, l’upcycling è sicuramente la strada da percorrere. Puoi trasformare un vecchio capo di abbigliamento in qualcosa di completamente nuovo per una frazione del prezzo di acquisto di qualcosa di nuovo di zecca, in più stai incorporando materiali di scarto in un capo usato. Un abito riciclato può essere ancora più bello con le giuste tecniche. È un vantaggio per tutti.
Che tipo di abbigliamento è meglio riciclare? Con pochi tocchi creativi, puoi ridare vita a qualsiasi capo d’abbigliamento nel tuo armadio! Investire in tessuti organici ben fatti e capi di qualità darà loro la longevità di cui hanno bisogno per un riciclo elegante. Rinnova gli stili esistenti con sicurezza: è tempo di rendere la moda ancora più sostenibile.
Perché dovrei riciclare i miei vestiti? L’upcycling è anche un ottimo modo per aggiungere il tuo tocco personale al tuo guardaroba. Quando acquisti nuovi vestiti dallo scaffale, tutti hanno accesso agli stessi identici articoli. Ma quando ricicli, puoi aggiungere il tuo tocco unico a un capo, rendendolo unico nel suo genere. Vivere in tempi in cui ogni giorno può essere visto come un momento di riflessione sul nostro pianeta, su cosa consumiamo, come lo consumiamo e sull’imminente cambiamento climatico che ha già avuto un impatto su tutte le parti della nostra preziosa Terra. Mentre riflettiamo su come interagiamo con acquisti e spese, la responsabilità della moda per standard di produzione più elevati, gestione dei rifiuti e azioni veramente sostenibili è aumentata di dieci volte. Concentrandosi sul cambiamento positivo, la moda ha assistito al “Rinascimento vintage”, con un’esplosione di ricerche di moda vintage su siti web come Vestiaire Collective, eBay e Cercle che sono diventate le destinazioni di moda più calde e hanno dato alla moda una seconda vita. Uno studio del 2022 di P. Smith sul mercato vintage, ha indicato che entro il 2026 il valore del mercato raddoppierà raggiungendo l’incredibile cifra di 218 miliardi di dollari, il che significa il cambiamento sismico del comportamento dei consumatori verso una pratica più consapevole, mirando a considerazioni prima dell’acquisto.

Cooperativa sociale Insieme per statuto “… intende perseguire l’interesse generale della comunità
attraverso la promozione umana e l’integrazione sociale dei Cittadini”.
Insieme è una Cooperativa sociale (ex L.381/91) ed è un’Organizzazione non lucrativa di utilità sociale (Onlus) che coinvolge oltre cento lavoratori, più di trenta persone in tirocinio lavorativo, circa venti inserimenti per lavori di pubblica utilità e più di trenta volontari coinvolti in un unico progetto: dare una seconda possibilità alle persone e alle cose che apparentemente non ce l’hanno.
Cooperativa sociale Insieme è sorta nel 1979 per iniziativa di un gruppo di cittadini che si sono ritrovati a discutere ed a confrontarsi sulla qualità della vita con una particolare attenzione all’ambito lavorativo e alle realtà dell’emarginazione e del disagio giovanile.
La passione genera cose grandi e belle, indipendentemente dal loro punto di partenza.

A DI ABITARE
“Abitare la città come un bene da coltivare”
Da più di trentacinque anni stiamo intrecciando le nostre proposte sociali e ambientali con città e paesi del vicentino. Dalle prime esperienze di vicinanza a mondi difficili di marginalità e disagio giovanile ed adulto abbiamo subito imparato che il territorio non era semplicimente il posto dove “fare delle iniziative” e “rendersi visibili” e neanche dove poter e dover essere solo degli attori attenti, responsabili e propositivi, ma un vero e proprio terreno in cui “impiantarsi”, mantenendo scambi vitali e continuativi, in una logica di reciprocità che va oltre ogni utile, calcolo o funzionalità immediata.

“ACCOGLIENZA alla persona, nella sua dimensione lavorativa”
Dal 1979 più di 800 persone tra minori, giovani ed adulti, con alle spalle esperienze di disagio e fragilità, hanno trovato Insieme a noi una proposta educativa e di accoglienza.
In collaborazione con i Comuni del territorio, le ULSS Vicentine e il Ministero di Giustizia abbiamo scelto di fare della normalità un posto di lavoro, un’occasione di crescita ed emancipazione.
A DI AMBIENTE
“Lavoriamo per l’ambiente”.
Le nostre iniziative sono mirate a sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sulle tematiche legate al mondo dell’eco-sostenibile e del consumo critico, sulla scelta dell’utilizzo delle energie rinnovabili e di materiali riciclati. Non si può immaginare quanto ci sia da recuperare in tutto ciò che abitualmente scartiamo per mancanza di spazio o di alternative. Il nostro lavoro e il nostro impegno si pongono come obiettivo quello di dimostrare che tutti i beni possono essere valorizzati e rivalutati, tornando così ad essere utili, o addirittura artistici.
A DI AUTOGESTIONE
“Autogestione attraverso attività di Riuso e Riciclo”
Il nostro lavoro principale consiste nel ridare valore alle cose che raccogliamo, che ritiriamo o che i cittadini portano presso le nostre sedi; possono essere rivendute, restaurate, oppure riciclate come materie prime secondarie, consentendo di diminuire gli sprechi e i rifiuti urbani. Mobili, elettrodomestici, oggetti, abiti, libri, giocattoli, strumenti e attrezzature musicali e sportive tornano in vita, spesso migliori di come li avete conosciuti.
Come lavoriamo?
La sicurezza sul lavoro: la salute e la sicurezza dei lavoratori e dei clienti che accedono ai luoghi gestiti da Insieme sono stati da sempre elementi a cui la cooperativa ha dato notevole importanza. Ogni anno vengono fatti nuovi investimenti, sia impiantistici che organizzativi, al fine non solo dell’adeguamento normativo ma anche del miglioramento della qualità dell’ambiente di lavoro.
Il Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione: è presente un Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione a cui fanno parte, oltre al Datore di Lavoro (legale rappresentante), anche il RSPP esterno, l’ASPP interno, il Medico del Lavoro e gli addetti all’antincendio e al primo soccorso. Inoltre l’Ufficio Sicurezza Ambiente si occupa di coordinare la salvaguardia della salute e della sicurezza anche tramite l’applicazione di un Sistema di Gestione della Sicurezza sul Lavoro interno.
Questo strumento permette alle varie attività della cooperativa di gestire la sicurezza e salute dei propri lavoratori e luoghi di lavoro, applicando procedure di lavorazione, istruzioni operative, procedure di monitoraggio e di formazione. Questi documenti sono racchiusi in una “Cartellina Sicurezza” presente in ogni attività e utilizzata dai referenti dell’attività per la gestione della sicurezza nell’attività stessa.
La formazione continua
Annualmente sono più di 1.000 le ore che Cooperativa Insieme investe nella formazione dei lavoratori e dei volontari sul tema della sicurezza sul lavoro.
