Feeric Fashion Week 2026 turns Sibiu into the fashion capital of independent fashion in Central and Eastern Europe

More than 20 countries, dozens of designers, prestigious universities, spectacular venues, and hundreds of creatives will transform Sibiu, from July 21 to 26, into an international laboratory of contemporary fashion.

Feeric Fashion Week returns this summer with an edition that confirms the event’s status as one of the most important platforms dedicated to independent fashion, education, and the creative industries in Europe. Over five days, the city becomes the stage for fashion shows held in unconventional spaces, international workshops, conferences, and special projects that bring together established designers and young creators from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America.

The program begins on Tuesday, July 21, with Feeric Hub, the educational platform of Feeric Fashion Week dedicated to the new generation of professionals in the creative industries. Hosted at CineGold Promenada Sibiu, Feeric Hub brings together specialists from the fields of fashion, photography, communication, media production, and creative entrepreneurship in a series of masterclasses and debates designed to inspire, create connections, and offer participants a perspective on the future of the creative industries.

The program starts with the masterclass “Visual Management and Media Production,” led by photographer Florin Opriș, continues with the debate “Behind the Social Media Perfect Reality,” moderated by Cornel Crișan alongside Adriana Chiru and Mitichi Preda, about authenticity, branding, and the challenges of communication in the social media era, and ends with the masterclass “Aesthetics in Fashion Business,” in which designer and researcher Rita Sarkis will demonstrate how aesthetics become a strategic tool for building a competitive fashion brand. The program continues on July 22 with workshops led by IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, followed by the first activities dedicated to the Feeric Hub community.

Official opening: two generations, two perspectives, the same idea of beauty

On Thursday, July 23, Feeric Fashion Week officially opens its series of presentations with a project carrying a strong social message: Cardinalia Models x Dharug.

On the same unconventional runway, inside the Immersive Museum Sibiu, two complementary concepts meet. Cardinalia Models is the agency redefining industry standards by promoting women over 35, proving that elegance, experience, and personality are values that transcend age. Alongside Cardinalia Models, Dharug brings to the runway a philosophy built around the discovery of authentic values. The platform explores vintage archives, antique markets, and the workshops of emerging designers to select rare pieces, unique creations, and brands at the beginning of their journey. Feeric Fashion Week thus becomes one of the places where Dharug identifies and promotes the new talents of contemporary fashion, giving them visibility and access to an international audience. The styling of the presentation is signed by Andrew Christian, in a show about authenticity and diversity.

Universities shaping the future of fashion

This year’s edition brings together some of the most important universities and design schools from Romania and abroad. Over the course of the three days of shows, the public will discover collections created by students and professors from the University of Oradea, West University of Timișoara, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, UNARTE Bucharest, Kaunas University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Arts Serbia, the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, the Technical University of Moldova, International Balkan University, New Giza University in Egypt, and numerous other academic institutions.

Feeric Fashion Week thus continues its mission to become Europe’s most important platform dedicated to graduates and young designers.

Hooldra – circular fashion becomes a show

One of the most anticipated moments will take place on Friday evening, at the Mapa Cengiz factory, where the project Hooldra 2026 – Visible Transformation brings together 20 students from eight universities in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Poland.

In partnership with Humana, the participants received recovered garments which they deconstructed and reinterpreted into entirely new collections, using deadstock materials, vintage textiles, and upcycling techniques. Coordinated by designer Daiana Stancioiu, the project demonstrates that sustainability can become a driving force of creativity and that existing resources can generate new value. For the first time, all the pieces presented will be available for immediate purchase through the Dharug platform, in a See Now, Buy Now concept.

Fashion as living heritage

On Saturday morning, Feeric leaves the city and reaches the village of Porumbacu de Sus, where the project Artisanal Jopoi × Haide offers one of the most moving experiences of the edition. Starting from textile heritage in Paraguay and Romania, the project highlights the surprising similarities between two cultures that have never met, yet share the same gestures, techniques, and respect for traditional craftsmanship. In the authentic setting of A lu’ Escana, the audience will discover a dialogue between two worlds united by the same conviction: fashion cannot have a future without the memory of its own roots.

Feeric Gala – a panorama of contemporary fashion

The edition closes on Saturday evening, in Huet Square, with the traditional Feeric Gala, an event bringing together some of the most representative collections of this edition. Among the international designers is Yulu Xia, who presents a collection inspired by the cultural heritage of China’s Yunnan province and by the relationship between nature, biodiversity, and contemporary technologies, using innovative materials such as mycelium-based biomaterials. Lebanese designer Rita Sarkis presents a capsule collection built around female resilience and adaptability, her suits becoming an expression of confidence and timeless elegance.

The MILD Power – Unwrapped collection transforms the act of giving into a fashion concept, reinterpreting bows, wrapping, and letters as structural elements of clothing and exploring the vulnerability and beauty of human relationships. Alongside these, collections by Romanian and international designers, as well as creations by participating universities, will be presented in a gala that reflects the current directions of global fashion.

Fashion that takes over the city

Feeric Fashion Week remains faithful to the concept that made it famous: transforming everyday spaces into spectacular settings for fashion. This year, the shows will take place in cultural, industrial, and commercial spaces, from the Immersive Museum and Promenada Sibiu to the Mapa Cengiz factory, the recently awarded House of the Arts in Small Square, the tire warehouse of the Sigemo company, and Huet Square.

More than a fashion festival, Feeric Fashion Week is an international platform that connects education, heritage, sustainability, and the creative industries, giving Sibiu international visibility and strengthening the city’s role on the map of major European cultural events.

Feeric Fashion Week 2026 takes place from July 21 to 26, and access to the shows is free, subject to each venue’s capacity. The event is co-financed by the Sibiu City Hall and supported by NEPI Rockcastle, Promenada Sibiu, Cinegold, Boromir, MG Mecatronics, Humana, Buonavista, and Prima driving school.
