SOFT SCULPTURES

Soft sculptures is an editorial project that explores the quiet tension between softness and permanence. It is drawn to the contradiction of something that feels delicate, almost fleeting, yet appears as if it has been carved into stone. The images hold this paradox—where lightness meets weight, and fragility becomes form.

Photography, by nature, freezes a moment. What is fluid in reality becomes fixed within the frame, preserved yet distant. These images reflect that transformation: a movement remembered as something continuous, yet captured as a singular, unrepeatable second. What once flowed now exists as shape, as surface, as trace.

Through fabric, this idea unfolds further. Materials that are sheer, airy, and transparent exist alongside those that feel heavy, structured, and embracing. They drape, cling, and hold—at once soft and sculptural. The garments become vessels of memory, conserving gestures and sensations within their folds. There is a sense of play running through the work—a subtle interaction between body, material, and space. Forms emerge and dissolve, never fully settling.
